I think love is overrated country song
Some jack ass puts on a cowboy costume and panders to a bunch of suckers who wouldn't know or care to know true artistic expression if it smacked them in the face. While actual artists who put their heart and soul, blood and tears into their music with true passion and creativity, remain obscure and struggle to make ends meet. I thought the concept of idealizing the anti intellectual anti progressive "country life" was a purely American enterprise, but no, this garbage has spread like a virus infecting the hearts and minds of people all over. Reply DeleteĬountry music is the Donald Trump of music in that it only appeals to racists and middle of the road idiots.Īll these assholes on here getting offended by people criticizing country music, what fucking world do you live in? Your uninspired, anti artistic, pandering, noise pollution is one of the most popular forms of music,to my horror, not just in the USA but across the globe. This is a problem with all modern music, not just country. We are seeing young, impressionable people being molded and taught who they should be by record labels, media, hollywood, magazines and so on. There are people everywhere that feel they have no identity and cling to a lifestyle portrayed by "artists" (loose terminology) with whom they feel best portrays who they should be- gender, race, socioeconomic background, peer pressure. Singling out listeners of country while ignoring listeners of rap is atrocious. I refuse to mock one group while ignoring others. Mysic, in general, has become a waste of waveform, a pollution of noise and garbage that we are subject to on every level. I do not like Toby Keith or Alan Jackson, they peddle garbage and prey on misinformed emotions, but they are no more guilty than other artists in polar opposite categories. However, I also dislike many Rock songs, most "Rap" and "R&B" music, and many other genres- some of which are not only misogynistic, they are flatly disgusting. In fact, it is not the worst- or even the second worst- offender in this category. "Country", or "C&W", is not unique in this light. Alternatively, some people are referencing instances of gender inequality and hatred of women, inferring that this specific genre of music is unique in it's treatment of women in general. There are grammatical corrections, insults, name-calling and childish insults being thrown around. The most common scat slinging refers to the intelligence of individuals who entertain themselves with "country" music. The comment section here is a petri dish featuring an assortment of ignorance, supporting and mocking the people who listen to a genre of music. He then began displaying a backdrop showing a doctored photo of Maines with Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein at all of his concerts, cause you know, that's the mature response.Īlong with Toby Keith's redneck anthem, Alan Jackson took the opportunity to show the world that he too was just as ignorant and could profit off of the deaths of thousands. She has never written anything that has been a hit." Toby responded with the most tact he could muster: Anybody can write, 'We'll put a boot in your ass'." It targets an entire culture - and not just the bad people who did bad things. It's ignorant, and it makes country music sound ignorant.

She publicly criticized Keith's song by saying, "I hate it. After the release of "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue" he had a notable feud with the lead singer of the Dixie Chicks, Natalie Maines. This song was written by Toby Keith, a walking, singing stereotype who has a talent for appearing to be endearing while actually being an intolerant asshole. I also really like at 1:57 when it showed a picture of Saddam Hussein being hung, even though he had nothing to do with 9/11. We've destroyed their habitat and driven them to near extinction, but yeah, damn those jihad.

My favorite part was at 1:16 when the Bald Eagle flips you off. I absolutely love how literal the guy was when he put together this video.
